well done Poppy, we did it too (well apart from heating, electricity and having to use the car to get to the allotment). No parting with the pennies though and the only thing that made me think ‘ooh, I need that’ was cat litter and golden syrup. The cats have been very understanding and we survived without flapjacks ;o)

I haven’t chosen which varieties I will be growing next year yet. This year I had alot of slug damage, so I will either grow varieties with some resistance or else just try different varieties to see how they do.

I’m undecided about potatoes next year I really am. I’ve never had fantastic yields and the last lot I grew (Golden Wonder) had a thick russet skin that looked like scab but wasn’t. There was a lot of peeling involved, which I don’t normally do because it gets rid of the good fibre of the potato, and they were a bit bland and unappetising too!

I’m thinking this year I may buy a huge sack from a farm and devote the bed to something else!

Poppy, I’m trying to send on to the next address but the email for veriwildcat is just bouncing back as unsendable.

Do you have any suggestions or should I send the parcel on to you as there are no other people added.?
